A 1920s photolithographic print titled 'Cottages West of Ireland' by the Irish painter Paul Henry RHA (1876-1958). There is some yellowing to the print, as you can see in the photos, but otherwise in very good condition. Henry is one of Ireland’s greatest Twentieth Century landscape painters, a man who sought to capture the ‘soul of Ireland’. The photolithographic reproduction of his paintings in the 1920s brought him growing fame and allowed him to focus painting the lakes, hillsides and clouds around Connemara and Wicklow in the West of Ireland.
It is in very good condition in its original frame, although there is some yellowing to the print and wear to the frame. It is signed in the plate on the lower right hand side and is titled on the label on the reverse.
